Features
FontAgent Pro solves font problems and puts the user in complete control. The complete font manager for OS X optimizes and organizes fonts and provides cutting-edge features to easily maintain fonts, create custom font sets, and activate only the fonts needed as needed. Built from the ground up for OS X, the Aqua interface supports many OS X features including toolbars, sheets, and advanced preview controls.
FontAgent Pro quickly finds all font files in user-definable locations. Its simple drag-and-drop interface enables the user to easily scan folders, hard drives, CDs, networked Macs, and Windows volumes. FontAgent Pro scours the hard disks and CDs and finds all the fonts located anywhere in the specified locations. This frees the user from having to locate or open fonts manually and eliminates the risk that fonts may be overlooked. Run FontAgent Pro and never lose a font again. Most users have had their fonts for awhile. They've been through many Mac OS versions and crashes. Some fonts may be corrupt from the abuse they've been through. FontAgent Pro performs a thorough verification on each font and ensures that each font is pristine. Fonts are verified automatically when they are imported into a FontAgent X library and before they are activated never experience a corrupt-font-related crash again.FontAgent Pro sorts fonts and automatically removes unmatched fonts, duplicate fonts, and more. FontAgent Pro finds bitmapped fonts without matching PostScript fonts and vice versa. These incomplete fonts go in a problem-fonts folder, enabling users to add counterparts later. FontAgent Pro intelligently compares comprehensive font information to determine exact duplicates and keeps the most complete or newest font. It even keeps fonts from different foundries and fonts in both Type 1 and TrueType formats. In addition, FontAgent Pro removes redundant font data and extra point sizes which means fonts use less system resources.FontAgent Pro builds clean, organized font libraries, and then maintains those libraries. After optimizing the fonts, it places an entire font family in its own folder, and places that folder in the appropriate alphabetical folder, all contained in the font library's folder. There are no suitcases in Mac OS X, so FontAgent Pro breaks up the old suitcase files into multiple font files and labels the files with the font's name and style. This is the preferred file format for Mac OS X. Importantly, FontAgent Pro's libraries are accessible from the finder so users still have access to physical font files. And, FontAgent Pro provides many options for creating font sets.Manufacturer: Insider Software
