Personalizer-X offers quick and easy personalization or customization of each page within a QuarkXPress document. It allows merging database information into standard QuarkXPress designed documents using variable text, formatting commands, selection of images, bar codes, and charting all through a simple, user-friendly interface.

(To use the database in Personalizer-X, it has to be exported as an ASCII data file.) Create a document using required QuarkXPress functionality. In the QuarkXPress document, create variable-data objects with Personalizer-X and link the ASCII data file records to variable-data objects using virtual fields. These virtual fields provide maximum flexibility to work with the ASCII data file and the QuarkXPress document. When the document is ready, export the data-file records and save the QuarkXPress document as a PostScript file and variable-data objects as PostScript versions of variable-data files. During the variable-data replacement, a separate master and variable-data file signature will be created on the server. Create IntelliPac files on the IntelliStream RIP and print the files on the IntelliStream system.The Personalizer-X PPML workflow is just as simple: Create a database containing records which will be used as variable data in the QuarkXPress document. (To use the database in Personalizer-X, it has to be exported as an ASCII data file.) Create a document using required QuarkXPress functionality. In the QuarkXPress document, create variable-data objects with Personalizer-X and link the ASCII data-file records to variable-data objects using virtual fields. These virtual fields provide maximum flexibility to work with the ASCII data file and the QuarkXPress document. Send the files to the PPML RIP which will create PostScript files. (To use the database in Personalizer-X, it has to be exported as an ASCII data file.) Create a document using required QuarkXPress functionality. In the QuarkXPress document, create variable-data objects with Personalizer-X and link the ASCII data-file records to variable-data objects using virtual fields. These virtual fields provide maximum flexibility to work with the ASCII data file and the QuarkXPress document. When the document is ready, export the data-file records and save the QuarkXPress document and variable-data objects as PPML/VDX Files.
