Xcatalog is an XTensions module for QuarkXPress that provides a powerful bi-directional linking tool for creating transparent links between QuarkXPress documents and external data. With these links in place, never enter or update data in two places again (documents and database), rather simply update one or the other from the most current version.
This means that one the links are established with the easy-to-use linking tool, changes can be made either in the document or the database, and the changes pushed in the other direction with no extra work. (No intermediate steps such as report creation and extraction are needed.)Xcatalog's links are invisible in the printed layout (but visible while working). Linked elements can be moved between documents freely without loss of linkage.Use Xcatalog to update prices, graphics, or product information - even change versions or swap languages — automatically. Accommodating different pricing regions is easy as well. Use Xcatalog to swap the prices in for each region — also automatically.Xcatalog has been in production use at hundreds of sites, worldwide, since 1995.
