These feature-rich XTensions modules, created specifically for QuarkXPress 6.0 (but compatible with QuarkXPress 4.X and 5.X), are designed for both the novice and advanced user with a seamless interface that provides the look and feel of QuarkXPress.
Features:• XPert Align provides an intuitive, visual method for aligning items with other items or on the page. Simply select the items to align, and automatically align the items with each other, center them on the page, place them equidistant across the page, and more.• XPert BoxTools eases the process of adjusting the size and placement of items, text, and graphics. Adjust the position and rotation of items. Use the fit text palette to make copy fitting a snap. Expanded options for working with pictures and their boxes.• XPert FindChange provides comprehensive controls for finding any type of item (text boxes, picture boxes, no-content boxes, lines, and text paths), and changing any of their attributes (from location, shape, and color to frame style, picture scale, number of columns, and much more). Make consistent changes to any element of a design — throughout an entire document.• XPert Guides provides precision controls for creating and editing onscreen guides. Specify a location for the guide, choose horizontal or vertical, page or entire spread, display color, and view scale at which the guide displays, and XPert Guides creates a new guide onscreen. Easily edit, copy, paste, or mirror guides to automatically create grids, rows, and columns.• XPert ImageInfo gives quick access to information about, and features for, modifying pictures placed in QuarkXPress documents.• XPert ItemMarks provides convenient methods for making crop marks and registration marks for individual items and pages.• XPert ItemStyles saves item attributes (e.g., color, frame style, line width, picture scale, and text inset) as style sheets that can be applied to any item from a palette. The XPert ItemStyles make changes to items in an instant and guarantees consistency throughout a design. Make global changes to items by editing an XPert ItemStyle. The easiest way to create an ItemStyle is to select a formatted item and use its attributes as a prototype for the style.• XPert Layers provides an easy way to work with QuarkXPress items by enabling the user to locate, select, and modify items assigned to a layer. One of the most powerful features in the XPert Layers XTensions module is its ability to let users work with sets of items in a group (viewgroup ). With items in a group, use XPert Layers to shuffle all the items in the group up or down the stacking order together.• XPert PageSets saves all the settings in the new document dialog box as a style. The XPert PageSets dialog box includes the document name field, the style menu, the pages field, and the section start area in addition to the standard new document controls.• XPert Paste pastes an item onto a different page or spread in the same X and Y location from which it was originally copied or cut. Normally, QuarkXPress pastes items from the clipboard onto the center of the active page, leaving the user to adjust the item's location. With XPert Paste, paste items onto multiple pages or spreads at the same time.• XPert Pilot provides a thumbnail preview of pages and spreads of the current document enabling the user to instantly jump to an area to work on — without knowing what page it's on. The palette also provides convenient methods for changing the view scale and jumping to different pages in a document. Drag and resize a marquee to control which area of a page or spread displays in the document window.• XPert Print enables the user to select a portion of a QuarkXPress page and either print it or save it as an EPS file.• XPert Scale quickly scales QuarkXPress documents, items, groups, and contents similar to the way drawing applications scale objects. Scale items visually or numerically (by entering percent values or dimensions).• XPert TextLink provides an intuitive palette for linking and unlinking text boxes and text paths, and adds the abilities to join two existing text chains, easily create a series of linked text boxes, split a text chain into smaller text chains, or duplicate or delete a text box in a chain.• XPert Toolbars enables the user to create custom palettes to provide quick access to any QuarkXPress function. With a click of the mouse, access any tool, any menu command, and most keyboard commands in QuarkXPress. Create different toolbars tailored for certain tasks such as typography, pictures, and layout.• XPert Type offers quick access to common text-formatting options, allowing the user to interactively make changes by dragging the mouse or clicking arrows.
