LinkRenamer will rename and automatically re-link all picture links within QuarkXPress in seconds. Once a custom-naming scheme is created, LinkRenamer XT renames all picture files in the Finder and then updates the appropriate QuarkXPress links.
LinkRenamer has a customizable, user-friendly interface which includes: Filtering Rules — narrow the renaming scope using expressions such as picture name contains or picture type is not, or apply the renaming to a specified page range.Variable Naming Fields — use three customizable naming fields to build the final name. Each field enables the user to define page or serial numbers, leading zeros, custom text, and more.Instant Feedback — LinkRenamer shows the entire picture list with every picture's old and new name so the user will know in advance exactly how each will be renamed.Built-in Safeguards — LinkRenamer checks for name duplications, maximum name length, multiple picture occurrences, and illegal characters, so there are no surprises.Conditional Renaming — powerful filtering rules in plain English. The conditional renaming option enables the user to rename only images that fall within a certain pattern. For example, narrow the renaming to images that contain the word "photo", that end with TIFF, or to images whose file type is not JPEG. Optionally, make the filtering case sensitive. The user then specifies where to insert the new name. For example, choose to delete the matching phrase, insert the new name before or after the matching phrase, or at the beginning or end of the old name.Customizable Name Fields — To build the new name, use a combination of the three name-component fields. In each field choose from: old picture name, a combination of the Project and Layout names (QuarkXPress v6 only), the picture's page or section number, an automatic serial number, or any custom text. For page or serial numbers, optionally add leading zeros to complete a certain number of digits. For serial numbers, optionally specify start and step values, format (numbers, all cap letters, or small cap letters), and whether to reset the serial number after each page. LinkRenamer XT can also append the appropriate picture file type (e.g., .EPS) at the end of the name.Picture List — before and after at a glance; LinkRenamer builds and updates the complete picture list in real time to show the old and new name for each picture. It also indicates whether there are missing links, duplicate file names, picture occurrences, illegal characters, whether the picture has been ruled out by the conditional rename, and the total number of pictures to be renamed.Manufactuer : Badia
