FixerBundle includes four photo-correction Plug-ins: FocusFixer, NoiseFixer, ShadowFixer, and TrueBlur.
Use FocusFixer to bring a background element of a photograph into focus for producing extra large enlargements to be used as exhibition stands or billboards. Removes focus blur from those parts of images where a narrow depth of field has to be used. Not only will FocusFixer restore detail, it will add clarity and quality for forensic as well as aesthetic applications. Use it on color and monochrome pictures; and even photographs taken by traditional methods and scanned into a PC or Mac OS X. Upgraded version uses the EXIF information (attached to image files) to produce significantly improved results.NoiseFixer removes noise or graininess from images by giving total control and enabling the user to tailor the results. The sophisticated mathematical technology is hidden by a simple and easy-to-use front end. Independently visualize the noise from an image's luminance and chrominance components and see the final combined effects in the preview screen. Where previously noise-reducing applications have produced an image that is softened in the process, NoiseFixer ensures there is no loss of clarity in the final image.ShadowFixer corrects the problem of different exposure requirements within one image. A dark corridor in the foreground leading to a light garden in the background, shadows across a subject's face, or a photograph taken in bright sunlight of a subject in shadow; the type of problems that photographers and image makers face daily.Previously one of the few ways of dealing with digital images with under exposed areas or dark shadows may have been to correct using the brightness and contrast controls, which has the effect of lightening the whole image and lightening the areas that were already correctly exposed. ShadowFixer is designed to be used on an entire image or a large region of an image which has boundaries that lie along those of an object or shadow in the image, blending the over exposed and underexposed regions into the whole picture, all while enhancing the detail in the fixed areas.TrueBlur gives images a more realistic-looking blur than has previously been possible. Due to the unique LensFIT technology, TrueBlur offers the most realistic blur on the market. TrueBlur uses EXIF information (where present) to generate an accurate model of the lens optics.
