The Dashes XTensions module provides high-quality hyphenation for QuarkXPress text. Its aim and purpose is to provide a tool that improves the appearance and readability of a user's page by inserting hyphens which are inconspicuous, so as not to disturb the flow or meaning in the story.The internal-hyphenation code that is used in this XTensions module has been licensed from Circle Noetic Services, thus, the user is guaranteed the same high standard of hyphen breaks as is provided by their renowned hyphenation products.Features:• inserts discretionary hyphens into a selection of text, the current text box, or the complete document, and when inserting hyphens, the user-specified auto-hyphenation rules are fully obeyed;• removes discretionary hyphens from a selection of text, the current text box, or the entire document (if the way the XTensions module hyphenates a word is undesirable, enter it into a custom Dashes exceptions dictionary);• provides each Dashes hyphen with a stylistic ranking, this allows the exclusion of hyphens that are not up to the stylistic quality the user specifies;• import and export hyphenation exceptions lists into and out of the XTensions module;• will correctly hyphenate words that contain ligatures;• as all the hyphens inserted are stored as discretionary hyphens within the document, the document will not reflow, when opened or printed on another machine;• will correctly hyphenate the document, regardless of the system or program language; and• provides a linguistically based algorithm that puts in over 99% of the possible hyphens with over 99% accuracy in all the languages offered.Supported Languages: Arabic, Bela Russian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French (European and Canadian), German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian (Bokmal and Nynorsk), Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Swiss, and Turkish.Hyphenation XTensions modules and spelling XTensions modules are language specific and require QuarkXPress Passport or the QuarkXPress language for which you are purchasing.
